This stool pulls double duty as a side table next to my armchair, and the black base gives it a surprisingly modern look against my light floors. The wood feels substantial, not flimsy, and I've already gotten compliments on it.

The wood has a beautiful grain and the black base gives it a surprisingly elegant look. I use mine as a little side table next to the sofa, and it holds my coffee mug perfectly.

I was pleasantly surprised by how sturdy this stool feels—the black base doesn't wobble at all, even when I lean on it as a side table. The wood has a nice, rich grain that makes it look more expensive than it is.
